Finally Embracing Rescue

I continue to desire rescue
Hoping each new set of arms will save me
But beside me is the Savior
Of whom I am unaware
He speaks to me
He tells me he can save me
He says I just have to let him
But I say, “Well . . . what about him?” and embrace new arms
Yet declaring I trust a kept remote Savior
I remain lost
Needing rescue
Desiring rescue
Avoiding rescue
Will I ever let Him in?
Then He entered my world
He spoke my heart tongue
And held my closer than breathe
I became lost in abandon to the only true Savior.
